Why not use a compound that is done in capsule form. My younger son is on a 3.5mg dose. We have our pharmacy compound the cortef tablet into a capsule. I simply break open the capsule, mix it in a syringe with a little water, squirt into his mouth, done!KimberlyWe had been spliting the tabs for years for my older son. However, we just needed to increase his dose from 2.5mg to 3mg. So, once again I am having the cortef tabs compounded into a capsule. He is five, so he swallows it as you would any other capsule.
Our Endo is also a stickler for accuracy. She also prefers to make dose adjustments in slight increases/decreases to be able to maintain the best possible levels. By using the capsules she is able to do this.
Just a thought that works great for us!
