Hi, Im sure this subject has been posted before I would like some opinions. My husband and I have decided to go ahead with a planned pregnancy. We have a 19 month old SWCAH daughter now. Our OB is completely on board and we have opted for the dex prenatal treatment. We will have a perionatologist, endo, and genetics specialist involved as well. I have read that the Dex usually works in preventing the virlization which is the goal here...Has anyone actually taken this prenatal treatment with success (or not)? I am curious of everyones opinions and experiences. I am trying to make my family understand why i am chosing this treatment, they dont understand what I am doing if I cant prevent "CAH" from happening (just shows they dont pay attention) ...anyway, I thought I would get the valuable input from those of you who actually know why I want to have the prenatal treatment. Savannah (my daugther) had surgery and I want to try to prevent that for my next child if at all possible because it was hard on all of us, especially her.... We know that there is a 1/4 chance of another CAH child and1/8 chance of a CAH girl. Thanks for listening and I look forward to any responses (even if you disagree) I can handle it.. ;). Feel free to email me directly if you do not wish to post your response.Laura Shine
