I have two sons with SWCAH.  and one without the condition.  My middle son weighed 8lb.s 9 oz.  he was a heavy set boy til just about a year and a half ago.  We took him to a new specialist and discovered that he was on the wrong dosage since his visit with the old specialist.  He was extremely bloated everywhere.  Since the altercation to his medications, he has thinned out and has become taller.  Now we are watching for rapid growth and also with both boys premature puberty.  They are 9 and almost 7 now.  I know the days of late nite meds are frustrating and strenuous and sometimes very difficult, but they will change and the doses will change as they grow or get older.  Just stick it out, know that things will get easier.  Most people don’t even know my boys have any conditions.  Only people who interact with them all the time know.  Good luck and if you need to talk my email is jetfuelmom@yahoo.ca
