Cherry LaneLouise,
I am so glad your little one is fine and taking his meds the way you like. I just had my daughter at the endo and AGAIN asked why the liquid instead of pill. He continues to think that the liquid is more accurate than cutting the pill. When she was seen at Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati they also pushed the liquid versus the pill. She has always been on the liquid cortisone and done very well with it. No Lab numbers have been off and she has not has any crisis since being on it. She is four and doing fine and does not mind taking her meds at all. (Thank God) I get weary of peoples constant put downs of the liquid forms of meds. (not saying you did) So..... I want to offer a positive spin on the liquid Hydrocortisone. They had a bad batch of it at one time, but if you have it compounded monthly at your pharmacy and keep it in the fridge it works fine . I know each child is different and one may do better on pills and others may do better on liquid. There is no right or wrong on this drug. Just a preference of the Drs. use with it and how it works with the patient. Thank You
Cherry Lane
