what if a "classical" salt wasting cah patient were to stop taking or lessen medication? i have been told it would be "very bad." how so? sometimes i feel it is even better to miss a dose here and there.

i am curious as to what the worst would be meaning totally discontinuing medication.  next, taking it "as needed" as i see fit (25 yrs old--have some idea of what is good for my body and what is not).  my reason for posting is that i would jump at the chance to have any other sort of treatment other than steroids for numerous reasons.

most likely it is written somewhere else on the site i have not found yet-but any information about gene therapy or cell mutation would be greatly appreciated.
