Dear Steve,

I’m 34 and thank you very much for writing. I have simple virilizing CAH and been wondering what taking the prednisone for 31 years and now hydrocortisone will do to my future health.

I have osteopenia but take FOSOMAX for that but I was also wondering about cataracts and really anything else you can offer. I have low blood pressure but the way the NP scowls about that I’m beginning to think that is a bad thing. Also, how is your immune system holding up? Do you get sick a lot ?I was never sick as a kid or in my 20’s but now it’s like once a year or so and after the cancer treatment I feel the best that I have in 15 years.

Do you think exercising everyday and sticking to a diet of mostly veg and fruit would help? I also was born with a heart murmer that never borthered me but I wonder about the future with that too.  I hope that someone will write that is even older but I wanted to say thanks for being out there.
