I also find it interesting, if not frustrating when with one illness my son responds within 20 minutes of the shot.  He pops up like he can’t stay still and talks to anything that moves.  I know that the excess Cortef we inject him with will give him a lot of excess energy due to the steroids.

If my son is actually sick with a virus, he still has it (just like Ginny) and it has to run it’s course.  The interesting part is that he will wake up with a fever or get dehydrated (very easily - even with proper fluid) we give him the shot and some Pedialite or the like and he is up and better than new.  That makes me believe that the fever is caused by something other than an illness.  It almost seems that when he gets a fever he has had a growth spurt or has had an emotional day.

He is now 9 years old and has hit 5’.  We continue to pray that his growth hormone treatment will help him reach his original height.  The last time he had a crisis was about 2 years ago.  Knock wood.
