Hi, just thought I would add a little insight to what (might) be happening based on my own experience.

I used to take Dex at night before bed, I actually split my dose of .75,  .5 at night and .25 in the am.  Anyway once I could actually fall asleep, I would wake up about an hour or so later with a rush of energy. Kind of hard to explain the feeling. It’s literally a rush that wakes me straight out of my sleep. I also slept and still sleep very lightly because I hear everything. My remedy to that was putting an earplug in one ear. My hubby sleeps fine so hopefully between 3 ears we would hear things that we need to.

Anyway on the higher dose this happened once maybe twice a night that I got this rush. Or if I had been awakened by some sound my body would wake up startled and my heart beating hard, even though it was light sound. I wouldn’t be afraid or panicky or anything, it would just be a rush that I sware I can literally hear.

By the time I started taking Dex at 3 am I had taken it every which way that I could, trying to experiment with the effects. So I remain at 3 am with a lower dose. My cellphone alarm goes off, I get up take my pill give my daughter hers and go right back to sleep. I could have never gone back to sleep. I probably would have killed the cellphone back then for waking me up too.  When I first started this dosing schedule I had the alarm clock on static when the alarm went off in attempt to keep from being startled awake. Every once in a while, this still happens to me. Last night was the first in a long time, which prompted me to post this.  This is just my personal experience, being an adult on steroids.

My daughter however didn’t have much trouble falling to sleep even when she was on double the dose she is on now, she went to sleep well but would wake up at 4-5 am every morning, so no problem getting her up for school. Now she is leveled out and likes to push that snooze button a couple of times.........   take care
