It turns out that my husband and I both had great-grandmothers from the same village in Italy and our daughter has homozygous deletion mutations. I’m trying to find out at the moment if they are the same deletion mutation or not (since there are so many out there!)  Can anyone else trace decendants to Udine-- I think that’s the spelling-- in northern Italy?
