re: Question to JC

Hi Liz-  My daughter is a patient of Dr. New’s.  She feels all children should be given the option of reaching their full height potential,  which was very important to me.  We noticed precocious puberty at 5-6 which caused us to seek help hence the diagnosos of LOCAH.  When she was 8-9 she was tested and was actually in puberty but her height prediction was still not good and we felt to young to begin puberty so Dr. New started her on Lupron.  ( SHe had already started humatrope which may have caused the start of puberty).   Now at 11 she is just shy of 5’ tall and it looks extremely promising that she will reach full height at 5’2-5’3.  She has matured mentally into accepting her early advancing body.  She is thin and pretty and feels tall and will be ready now to go through puberty when Dr. New is ready to take her off her meds.  Since growth hormone and Lupron she has grown almost 5 inches-she is happy and we are happy with our mutual decision.    Hope this has helped-JC
