Sorry about getting into this so late.  But I just connected something about the acid reflux.  My husband has lupus and has to take meds every day and was also on pred’s for some time.  His doctor gave him a prescription for aciphex.  He takes one every morning.  And in 4 years time he has not had any acid reflux.  Which pred’s do cause, also his plaqunal.  There have been times when he does not have his meds and he gets heartburn instantly.  So he understands how these children feel.  And he does as an adult not sleep well when he does not have his meds.
