A friend of mine is experiencing a problem with her son’s growth which seems kind of the opposite of what most of us are going thru but I wondered if anyone had any opinions.   Her son is almost 13 and about 4’6" and his bone age is 7 1/2.  The doctor won’t give him growth hormones because he’s not growth hormone deficient even though I think they’ve approved the drug for short kids who aren’t deficient.  The doctor says he’s probably years away from puberty and is willing to give him testosterone to bring on puberty.  Will this help or hurt his eventual height?  The parents are 4’9" and 5’3".
