LauraI don’t remember if all the steoids my daughter was on for that month effected her levels or not. BUT be sure to mention this steriod use to his endocrinologist so IF the his levels come out higher, to take that into consideration. My daughter was put on an inhaled steroid for her asthma and they said it couldn’t really affect her levels in a big way, but it could in a little way. I begged to differ. I saw a difference in them. They said levels would change dramatically if the steroid was taken orally. But it shouldn’t effect it dramatically taken by other means. But again, I beg to differ so keep that in the back of your mind. We did adjust her meds. to her level changes per her endo., (and as I discoverd, as her inhaled steroids changed) That is why I believe it can make a big difference. To me it was no big deal. We just adjusted her meds. to fit her new needs. Get his checked soon. Then after this finally subsides and you take him off the creams, get them rechecked again after about a month of being off them or weining him down. That is my suggestion. You may see you need to adjust his meds, you may see it didn’t effect his levels. Depending on how much you apply too. I hope this helped some way. Take care.
