Steve 53yr. old CAH survivorTheresa,
I was born in 1951 and the doctors at Children’s Hospital, Boston, MA were baffled by my complete rejection of fluids. I have an emergency Baptism Certificate that states "near death" when I was 3 weeks old. I don’t know what kind of medication or hit-or-miss procedures they tried but I spent huge amounts of my early childhood in the hospital. If I remember correctly I started to respond to cortisone around 5-7yrs. old and then they started my on the oral medication (prednicone? florinef?) several years later. Hope I answered your question. I can’t ask my parents because they have passed on.
Steve
