Hi Margaret!

First of all congrads on your new baby! My daughter is almost 8 months old and although she doesnt have the salt wasting form of CAH when I had her shots done her doctor said she couldnt have any of the "live" vaccines because she was on hormone replacement therapy (steroids). She also didnt have a fever or any kind of weird reaction to any of the shots. The doctors also tell you that you can give the babies tylenol when you get home and i’ve read that some of the parents perfer to give it before the shots are even given. Giving the tylenol even if its not needed is great precaution to making sure they dont get a fever and also if theres any pain from the shots. I was really scared when my daughter got her shots, all I could think about was oh god what if she runs a fever (we all know theres no "good" way of taking a temp accurately on newborns) and goes in adrenal crisis! But i gave her tylenol as soon as we got home and I made sure she had it for an entire day and everything was fine. I guess ovbiously different kids are going to react differently. If you talk it over with your ped. you’ll probably feel better. Good luck!
