We had one
Feb. 9th, 2005   11:29am

for our son when he was just a couple of months old. The chain was a little loose but never went over his chubby little hand.

Since then we have bought another bracelet that was a sort of nylon with a velcro attachmnet but he loved it when we bought it and hated after a while (I think he might have gotten made fun of at school for wearing a bracelet) and he "lost"it. Just last week we ordered another bracelet for him with the normal metal chain that will be too hard for him to get off.

I agree that if you order one and it’s too big take it to a jewlery store and they can fix the chain. Plus I was told that Medic Alert will send us a new chain free of charge when and if this new one gets too small.

Be prepared thought adults are stupid when it comes to babies with ID bracelets. I had one woman ask me why he wore one and then said "I didn’t know he had a disease" really snotty. I so bad wanted to tell her it was a good thing they didn’t make people wear them for stupidity or she would own one too. We’re not looking for sympathy or to make our children different we’re looking to save their lives if something happens.
