Update:  Found out yesterday that I have won my appeal and will get to change back to my old insurance, which means that my boys will be able to see the endo they have seen since birth. 

 

On top of the Work Issue stated in another post.  I just found out that I enrolled in the wrong medical benefits program at work.  They changed our benefits carrier for our PPO plan.  I placed a call to our corporate benefits line and they explained that all information was provided in a mailing sent to our home address, which I never received.  During the enrollment period I choose the PPO plan assuming the carrier did not change.  Now with the new insurance company our endo is not covered.  Our boys have been seeing this endo since birth and he knows them well.  I now have to send a appeal letter to our benefits department and hope they will let me change carriers back to the one I have had for the last 5 years.  Has anyone else ran into this problem with insurance companies?
