I have had hypoglycemic episodes with both of my SW CAH boys during illness.  I now, if they are ill,  wake in the middle of the night, give them a stress dose, maybe some motrin (depending on the illenss) and give them a glass/bottle of juice or pop.  Since I have done this, no problems.  I came up with this on my own thru "tiral and error".  My kids are also older now and my Dr. says that helps too....Both kids were between 2-3 when this happened.  One was just one vomit, did not seem sick at all, put to bed and could barely rouse in the morning, cold clamy etc...the other was more of a fever/viral thing.
