You got me thinking with your post so I called our insurance company and our endo.  The insurance will cover the meter and supplies.  I called the endo to see where we go from here and they actually told me they would give me a meter.  We have our quarterly appointment on the 1st of March and they’re going to give me a meter, show me how & when to use it, etc...  Just thought I would post this so that any of you thinking about it could maybe talk to your docs.  I don’t know if others do the same thing.
