Linda, I will pray for your daughter and you for I KNOW what a tough day it is.

The one thing I did do when my Granddaughter had the surgery was write her a letter and explain how I felt that day and why I made the decision I made. I will give it to her someday when she asks me the questions I am sure will come. This letter is not just about surgery , but how I prayed and tossed this decision in my mind and heart for so many nights. So rest easy you have made your decision and the HARDEST part is over. The surgery will be fine and you will feel like a ton of bricks have been lifetd from your heart when it is complete.  Give your fears to God and just concentrate on your daughters health.  I keep a journal to give to her on her wedding day on my dreams, fears and wants for her as a young woman. I do this for her as her Mother is not here to do it for her and I think she needs all of the positive enforcement one can have. I also keep a health journal of her illness and what DRS. she sees and meds she takes. It helps when the Dr. asks when her last ear infection was and what did she take ect. Just feel safe keeping my own notes also. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Cherry Lane
