Natalie, whenever I am unsure about how to handle my daughters meds-do I need to double or triple dose?-I ask the ped endo.  Generally, I have had to double dose at a fever of 101 and triple dose at 103 degrees.  While on an antibiotic, I have double dosed for a couple of days, then returned to normal dose.  Always check with the ped endo.  The regular pediatrician won’t always know what to do.  Good luck.  BTW, my daughter had a nagging night cough for months-we finally tried Zyrtec syrup at night and that helped.  No med changes were needed.
