My almost 14 year old non CAH son has had the cough to for many weeks. All of his friends too.  His ped gave him the same cough syrup and told me it was probably RSV and to watch him.

The only thing that really worked was a warm mist humidifier running constantly in his room.  At times the steam was so thick in there that it looked like fog but he wasnt coughing so I figured I’d dry the room out when he was better.

Luckily 2 year old Connor (CAH) hasnt shown any signs and like I said my oldest has had this cough for at least a month
