AmyTony-
Congratulations on the birth of your son. Such exciting times for you and your family! Enjoy it because it flies by!
My son too has CAH and the diagnosis was initially devastating. As parents we want to take all hurt away from our children. But like anything hard, time makes it easier to deal with. Even if our children didn’t have CAH we would worry about their health, growth, and development now we just have more of a excuse to do so! The great news is it is treatable! We are all so lucky.
My son is going to be 1 year tomorrow and the past year has been wonderful! We had is birthday party yesterday and it was so much fun. He had a blast! Playing with his cousins, riding in his new cozy coup, eating birthday cake...he is a normal kid!(Right now he is chasing his two dogs around the house!)
Enjoy your son! He is a blessing. Don’t dwell on the fact he has CAH, time goes by too fast. Do all the research, learn as much as you can, get a great endo and love that baby! Before you know it he too will be eating cake at his 1st birthday party!
