I know I’m not Laura, but to have the tonsils removed I believe that they have to have strep throat or lots of throat problems (so many in a year time I believe).  As for the adenoids,  my daughter had lots of ear problems, along with the breathing/snoring problem.  When they put tubes in her ears they removed the adenoids.
