re: Grandmother of CAH baby girl

Hi Doris,

I too, am a new grandma of a CAH’er. (boy, 4 months) all of my other grandchildren (4) and my 6 children do not have CAH.  I find that the best thing for me to help my daughter and her husband is to read up on all of the info. I can find and read a lot of posts here.   I also keep up with all of his visits to the doctor and I am really fortunate that we live in the same town, so I get to be with Kadin quite often.  I probably read about this more than she does. (go figure)  I know that this doesn’t seem like much.  But, I feel the more knowledge I have the more I can help her with questions, because I have never been thru this with any of my children.  So just be there for them and support their decisions on their baby girl.  And I also help by taking the other children (2 girls) when and if I can.  Best of luck and wishs for you and yours.
