I have been in touch with Kelly She has written a letter of support for us. Kelly is so helpful and supportive. Cares offers excellent information. I was at the Cares fall conference, heard Dr Poppas speak about surgery for these children and that is..... what started my quest for a well experienced surgeon. Dr Poppas made it clear that if  surgery is not done properly the child may suffer from complications such as incontinence, scarring, pain,insensitivity,infertiliy, severe life threatening uro-genital infections and multiple surgeries to correct the problems, the list goes on. This is why I will not have the surgery done for my daughter unless I am confident the surgeon is well qualified and experienced with a Prader 8 child. (The prader scale only goes 1-5)
