Congrats on your new bundle of joy!  The only thing I would be able to tell you that sounds like my daughter’s situation in the hospital is this.  While we were waiting on the genetic testing to come back while she was in the hospital her glucose level dropped very low.  I am not sure if there is any link to why your son was having the low blood sugar or not I just wanted to let you know my daughters did this also.  Sorry I couldn’t give any further info than this maybe one of the other parents on the board could give futher insight.  Jolyn has anyone done any newborn screenings on your son?  Are they testing for CAH at the moment?
