Cherry LaneThey sure learn fast........ my four year old Granddaughter has a stomach ache every time we have her do something she does not want to do. Her pre-school was calling us every other day to come get her because she complained about her tummy. We would pick her up and she would come home and PLAY the rest of the day with no mention of a tummy ache. After doing this for about two weeks and having to pay fro her slot in preschool whether she was there or not. I finally said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I told the school I would no longer pay for her sick days as I hate paying for a service I am not getting and unless she was throwing up or running a feverto ignore it. The school freaked all out and acted like I was the Grandma from h---. But I knew she was playing with us. The school still calls every once in a while if her fever is 99. I am glad they are protective and vigil in there protocal for her health.........but YOU KNOW your kid. I use to tell my that if they are that sick maybe we should go to the hospital for a FULL check up and then if that did not work suggest changing schools....... THEY REALLY don’t want to leave there friends and if they do there is a problem . As teengers and middleschool goes.... there peers are the MOST important thing in there life right now. To avoid them I would raise the flag of depression or bullying to me. Hopefully he will find someone he will confide too and work this out before he misses much more school and then becomes a drop out risk !
