When my husband and I decided to have another child, my obgyn sent me to a genetics counselor.  The counselor was then made aware of CAH being a possibility with any subsequent pregnancies and was contacted by my obgyn when we did get pregnant.  The counselor told my ob when to start the dex and how much dex I needed, then the ob wrote the script.  NO problems.  At 13 weeks I had a CVS done ( it was a piece of cake) and then we just waited for the results.  We had the fish test done and we found out the sex of the baby within two days of the test.  We did have to wait a little over 2 1/2 weeks for the rest of the results that determined whether or not the baby had CAH.  Final results, baby boy with CAH.  I am due in two weeks and can’t wait to meet my third little son.

Going off the DEX was hard and make sure you know, if you have to do this, how to ween yourself off the meds.

Good Luck,  Tami
