I went to my regular OBGYN,  but I we talked about it well in advance,  she read up on what to do and called us when she was ready to go...we called right when we got pregnant and started the DEX the next day.  We also went to a genetic conselor,  I did not think it was necessary or helpful.  They tell you what your chances of having another CAH baby,  well I already knew that information.   We did an amnio as the CVS was not really an option at the time, almost 7 years ago now.....with the amnio we had to wait a long time,  we did it at 20 weeks and then had to wait another 2 1/2 weeks for the CAH results. We have two boys with SW CAH.

I hated the DEX,  no real physical side effects, except for crazy hunger, but it made really agitated.
