re: How often does your child change dose?

Jen,

We have only changed doses 1 time in the past 2 years, but when our son was younger and on Pediapred we changed doses  much more often.  Every child is different, and younger children grow faster and change more so their doses might change more often, especially if your child take a liquid, it is very easy to make little dosage adjustment.  However now our son takes the Cortef tablets and he takes 1/2 a 5mg table 2x daily.  If we increase his does we can’t just increase it by 1mg because the tablets can only be cut in half or 1/4 evenly.  So it just depends, it did seem like the first two years when we were on Pediapred the DR.  tweaked the doses more regularly. Hope this helps!
