Hi!  I have 2 daughters, 7 & 8, both with ssw cah.  I have posted here several times about how I suffer from kidney stones.  I am currently passing 3-4 mm kidney stones ever 2-3 weeks.  This is not easy when you have 2 girls to take care of.  I have recently come upon a theory that I would like anyone’s opinion on.  A little background for you- we have a family history of kidney stones.  I have a cortisol level that is 4 to 5 times higher than normal ( blood and urine).  My blood calcium is low but my urinary calcium is extremely high as well as my sodium level.  I have a pretty restricted diet because of my stones. 
Here is the recent theory.  I am solely in charge of my girls’ meds.  It is estimated that in a healthy month I come into contact with cortef at least 210 times.  Each time I do, it could either be absorbed into my skin or breathed in when cutting them.  My docs feel that my cortisol levels could be the reason for my stones.  I’m wondering if my extra contact with cortef is making it worse.  I know there are some pretty smart cookies on this website.  I’m desperate for answers!  My docs just seem to think it is no big deal but I want to find out how to stop these.
