Hi Sandra:

My husband, Bill, and I were there.  It was really nice.  The turn out was great.  I think there were over 300 people in attendance.  CARES presented an award (The Caring Angel Award) to Senator Dede Alpert for her work on the Newborn Screening bill in California.  They also showed the new CARES video that has been put together.  It was the world premiere.  :)  It was really well done.

I think everyone there had a really nice time, and more importantly, I think there was a lot of money raised for CARES.  I am anxious to see how much was made.  I know Jami said that she thought we would be able to fund a grant and have extra to do some more research.

Jami did a great job pulling everything together.  Wish you could have been there.
