Well, I don’t think it’s CAH either.  I guess they may have started him on cortef just to be on the safe side. It won’t hurt him for a short time but it could save his life, if he did have CAH.  I would just make sure to cover all your bases which I think you are doing now.  I would check into other types of CAH.  Maybe it’s not CAH at all but it does sound like something is going on.  Maybe his body needs some time to grow and adjust.  Whatever the cause, it sounds like you are ontop of it and that is the most important thing.
