I am very happy that you expressed how well your CAH children are doing and that your view of CAh is that they are as normal as any other child. Unfortunately this is not the case with ALL CAH children. Remember some girls are virilized and need surgery and some children are more prone to illness than others. MOST OF ALL CHILDREN WITH CAH CAN AND DO DIE. If not treated with medication and stress dosed during illness they can go into adrenal crisis and DIE! This is what most of the controversy is about with media and educational articles. They somehow concentrate on the genital issues and not the life threatening issue. These children are high risk children when they are SICK. Other than that they can play and interact as any other child. Just PLEASE keep in mind that cah girls  sometimes need extra support for her physical differences.
