I am a carrier of SWCAH and have been in failing health over the past several years.  I just had a fine needle biopsy on two of the six masses on my thyroid (one is in a lymph node).  The results of the blood test revealed that my ACTH was quite elevated as well as my cortisol level.  The endo says that this combination suggests that there is something wrong with my pituitary gland and that it might also be that something is happening with my adrenals.  I have had pain in my back for quite a while and it is in the top of the kidney area.  I have also been perspiring quite a bit lately and suffer from extreme insomnia.

My question is, I guess, has anyone else had anything like this occur and/or been symptomatic for CAH even though they are only a carrier.
