Perhaps she just wants to meet your new baby...  No, I’m not kidding...  I was also asked to bring along an unaffected newborn at our endo appointment after he was born.  My endo even went the length of calling me in my hospital room to make sure that I will schedule an appointment to see her asap.  I had no doubts that she was planning to do blood work on the child, or at least a physical exam.  I canceled and rescheduled that appointment because my baby wasn’t feeling well that day and I didn’t dare to attend without him.  Going to that appointment with a double stroller and two children, one a newborn and the other a devil of a toddler was a horror story in itself, but the worst yet was that besides for wishing me congrats and commanding on how cute my baby was, the doctor didn’t even glimpse at his side.  Never again would I bring a newborn along for an endo appointment without checking  first that she/he is really needed there.
