Re: The Ireland Family

The Ireland family definitely need our help and prayers.  Even if you can only afford $10.00 it all adds up.

Since I have been receiving several emails that borderline panic about CAH babies still dieing in this day and age I feel compelled to explain that Katie, although very sick and vomiting often, officially died from aspirating on her own vomit while she was sleeping in her bed.  Her mom did all that she could to revive her but it had gotten into her lungs and she wasn’t able to recover from that.

This is how the Ireland family explained it to me and I am sure that they wouldn’t want parent’s with new born CAH babies to be alarmed that this could happen to their baby.

It is a shame that in this day and age we don’t have a policy that insures ANY and EVERY person no matter what their income bracket or what country they call home.

Let’s show them that we are all family in our little CAH world and help where or how we can.  I have never met more kind and caring people in my life.  When we had our CAH Gathering last year in New England it became very clear that there was something special about each and every one of them.

God bless you all.
