LauraWe were told once my daughter started table food to salt it. Ask your endo. for some measurement guildines. Our endo. gave me some measurement to go by so I would feel confident that she was getting enough salt. I never really did measure it because once I had an idea what the food was she was eating and it’s salt content I was pretty confident she was getting her daily recommendation. I used to laugh at all the mother’s around our table at McDonalds when I would hand my daughter the salt and she would pour it on. They would gasp. I would reasurre them she needed it. It was still fun to watch their reaction. When my daughter was a baby and would zoom around in her walker, she would buzz up to the refridgerator when I would open it. She was like bees on honey. She would snatch the bottle of Ketchup and suck the life out of the top of it. No one would use the Ketchup in my family. We had to label it hers. Even as a joke for her first birthday my uncle got her a huge bottle of ketchup. Her favorite thing to drink is pickle juice. Loves it. Too much can give you the poops we found out. (the vinegar)
Has your daughter’s renin levels been ok? I am surprised your doc. didn’t take him off the sodium earlier.
