My son started daycare when he was 18months.  He has done very well.  The first year he had lots of colds, ect., but they have to be exposed at some point.  I leave the shot at school in his bag every day.  They have never had to use it, and I’m sure I would get there before they would have to because I’m only about 5 minutes away.  They also know to call me if he has any fever or if he vomits.  Our situation has worked out great, and I hope you can find a daycare you feel comfortable with.
