Cherry LaneI have had my granddaughter in day care for almost 3 years. THANK GOD we have not had an emergency situation to this day. I did make a book containing info about CAh and her meds and emergency letter..how to give the shot. Insurance info and signed and notarized consent forms for giving meds. We take her medicine to school and they also have a shot of solu cortef. They are so on top of her illness they call if she looks funny or even feels slightly warm. Matter of fact they are a little over zealous. But...... I see this as a good thing. Do I worry....of course I do.your instinct will tell you if the daycare is the one for you. The key word being communication. I also told them about her being verilized befoer and after surgery. I did not want them to lok at her genitals and see any redness or discolored marks and have an agency involved in suspected child abuse. I feel this place or person is going to be with this child 50 percent of her time and the more they know about her the better. I did the same thing when my children went to school. COMMUNICATE everything from food likes and dislikes to discipline . The more they know the better it is.
Sincerely
Cherry Lane
