My GP doesn’t know all this, but I’m going to go and see him in a few weeks when I get back to university (I am currently in my home town and not registered with a doctor here). Hopefully he’ll refer me to the hospital for a blood test. Believe it or not, I’ve only just come to realise that all my pains and illness and stuff isn’t normal. I always thought everyone hurt and it was all a part of life, but I’m pretty sure something is up, and as a biomedical student I have a fair idea that my problems have some kind of hormonal basis. Unfortunately, since I’m currently at home I only have acess to one endocrinolody textbook, but when I get back to uni there’ll be loads I can look at. I think there’s something wrong and hopefully whatever it is is treatable, and I’m determined to get it sorted, no matter how embaressing.
