cycloneThankyou so much for your reply it’s very reassuring.
I experienced the fatigue in my legs a few days ago. Even though I had only been walking round a castle (I do lots of walking and play hockey every week) my legs were literally shaking with the effort of keeping going and I had to keep resting.
With the pains, only the ones in the sides are quite severe, the others hurt much less but they’re still annoying. If feels like I’m being jabbed inside. When I first experienced it as a child I expected to collapse or something!
I don’t have any abnormal bronzing or anything, in fact I have very pale skin.
As for the hirsutism, I don’t have any on my face (thank God for mercies), just where I mentioned before. I think it’s the most difficult embarassing thing to talk about and I’ve never told anyone. I probably won’t tell my GP that bit either, I just find it so humiliating. I don’t know why but that in particular is so hard to talk about. We’ll see how it goes, if he suspects one of a group of hormonal conditions when I go to see him and he asks me then I’ve vowed I will tell him.
My doctor is very nice and helpful but I think it will still be difficult to tell him this stuff. But at least he’s the kind of doctor that takes things seriously rather than blow you off and say there’s nothing wrong, you’ll get better (I’ve met too many of them in the past).
