Cherry LaneAHHHHH! Julia, I know that feeeling very well. Leaving the Drs. office and walking to your car and asking yourself What the &^& just happened? I go through that not just with Mitzi’s Doctors , but also my own from time to time. I know we should not have to monitor our childs health to the degree we do at the Doctor....BUT it is in our best interest that we do. One Dr. came in with the wrong file and started talking about things I KNOW did not pertain to us and sure enough he had the wrong file. Thank God he did not administer meds. What I do is on the date on the calendar of the app. I write a brief note of what was discussed when I get home. It is on the calendar all year what we have treated and why. Makes for a messy calendar but hey its on my desk so what. I also ask to look at his notes from time to time to see WHAT they are writing about my child. Keep in mind these file will go through life with them. If there is anything I don’t understand ...I ask. If he don’t understand I ask why not. Maybe a notebook at the Doctors visit would help. When he see’s you taking notes, maybe he will get the hint that you feel you have the need too cough cough and he will be more in tune with your questions /answers and overall visit.
Hope Chelsea is feeling better and MOM too.
Sincerely
Cherry Lane
