I ended up taking her in to the peds doc yesterday.  Although she had been fever free she woke up screaming from her nap at daycare and was inconsolable.  We stopped by the docs and they squeezed us in.  Turns out she had an infection in both ears.  Things are much better now.  I spoke with the endo monday morning and she said there was no need to wean off the stress dose just return to the normal dose once the fever is gone.  I’m guessing that in reality it is better to wean?
