Any little ones taking Dex?
Apr. 27th, 2005   2:44pm

I had a call from our Endo this morning, following up on a med change that we made a couple of weeks ago.  He mentioned that switching to Dex for our son if his levels prove difficult to control.  I know that Cortef is the drug of choice with kiddies who have not yet gone through puberty (Gav is 2 years old), and I wondered if anyone could give me any insight as to why that is.

Also, if anyone’s young child is or has been on Dex, how did they respond?  What are the drawbacks?  If they were changed back to Cortef, what was the reason?

Thanks so much to everyone.. you are the most knowledgeable group of people and it’s a privilege to be able to draw from your experiences.

Blessings,

Hope
