My daughter (10yrs SWCAH) used to lick the salt off of my arms like she was a cat.  I would have to stop her from doing it.  I would be thinking that she was going to give me a hug and then slurrrp! she would lick me :-)  I had to wear long sleeves for a long time :-)

Our endo said that she could have as much salt as she wants although I do not salt our food because not everyone in the family wants that much salt.  She used to really pour it on when she was little, but now she doesn’t do that as much.  She prefers to have sweet fruits like strawberries, peaches etc. more than anything else.  But when she gets that craving for salt she needs to absolutely have something salty.  I have cholesterol free crackers that I think are too salty, that I give to her.  She also takes the Florinef at bedtime.  And she loves "Season All" on her meats.
