Just thought I’d let you guys know what some of us in Florida are preparing to do...

This month we will be having a garage sale where all the proceeds will be going to CARES. I’m hoping the end of the summer to have a dinner and silent auction, and next spring a golf tournament. With the exception of the garage sale, I’m hoping I’ll be able to get some information to the local newspapers so people in the future will be more knowledgable or at least would have heard about the condition.

I wrote an article for my college’s magazine, hoping that someone might read it and be motivated to help in some way, but at least to not feel so lost if they know someone with this condition. I think knowledge is power...so now we need to get that to the right people.

I know these aren’t things that everyone can do...I just feel so helpless sometimes that I have to busy myself and I just finally decided I would be an advocate for my son as much as I can.

With some of the negative things on the board latey, I just wanted to big some good news, and hopefully I’ve done that.
