Happy Mother’s Day to the best mommy’s I’ve ever met!  My girls came home from school today with the most beautiful works of art - and all for me!!!!!  Picasso has nothing on them!  I, too, was thinking about baby Katie and Sabrina today.  This was after a phone call from the husband (our friends) of Officer Melissa Foster (Columbus Police Department) that was killed by a drunk driver in December.  His daughter Lanie was so upset when she came home from preschool today because they were making special things for their mommies.  She is only 4 and still can’t grasp the fact that mommy isn’t here.  She got so upset that they called him and he had to come get her from school. My heart really breaks for them because he is a great dad and is doing his best.  But nothing can replace for Lanie how special her mommy was and is to her.

So on this mother’s day, I think we should all just take alot of time to appreciate what we do have and pray for the ones that are missing the special people they don’t.  Take extra time to hug not only our children but our husbands and loved ones!
