My daughter will be eight this summer. She is mature for her age. I know every child is different so maybe just tips on how to do this would be helpful too. I want to start her this summer to start to be involved in being responsible to take her meds. So when she gets to the teen years perhaps rebellion or just plain trying to teach and old dog new tricks isn’t a problem. Or at least try to curb that problem by involving her now. Obviously I wouldn’t hand her the bottle and a watch and tell her to take it when the alarm goes off. She is too young to dose herself BUT I was thinking of giving her a watch with an alarm to remind me to give her her meds. This way she was aware of her med. time. She kind of is now in school. She knows the schedule and when she is due and she is now telling time which helps. She had a sub for her nurse one day that gave her meds. late. I wasn’t happy about it at all and thought of empowering her with a watch with an alarm. I wanted to get her teacher involved next year. Her school is awesome so I can see them helping her with this. What are your thoughts?Laura
